Why step up a SIP

Salaries typically grow every year; a flat SIP quietly shrinks as a share of your income. Stepping up the instalment by even 5–10% annually adds substantially to the final corpus because the later, larger instalments still get years of compounding. The table above shows exactly how much of the outcome comes from the extra contributions versus growth.
